Buffalo Real Estate News

Buffalo NY is a community that has been misunderstood by many but those that live in Western New York know it is a wonderful place to call home.   Situated in the western portion of New York state nestled on shores of Lake Erie.  The Buffalo region is one of the fastest growing Real Estate markets in the United States today.  To the north is Niagara Falls and over the boarder Toronto.

Buffalo is a city under an amazing amount of change; all for the positive. Visitors regularly say, "I had no idea." This expression of surprise has happened so often weve given it a name: the "Who Knew?" effect. As in, "Who knew Buffalo was such a beautiful city?" or "Who knew there was so much to do here?" or the "Who knew there were so many amazing restaurants?"

Interest rates and closing costs can be directly related. With lenders trying to capture a greater share of the market, some will advertise extremely low interest rates. As a consumer, you need to remember that nothing is free.

Landlord & Tenant - When should you let a tenant out of a lease?»

Your tenant comes to you with a request that they need to break the lease. Not something that any landlord wants to hear, but what should you do? Residential leases are usually one year in term. Rarely there is a sound financial reason for not letting a tenant out of a lease.

Pay Tribute to Tim Russert at Sunday Brunch

What better venue to honor Tim Russert than among enthusiastic Buffalo boosters from all over the nation, as the culmination of an event that he supported and that celebrates his beloved hometown?

We will pay tribute to Tim Russert in a brief but solemn ceremony at Noon during the Buffalo Homecoming Sunday Brunch at the Buffalo Zoo on Sunday, June 29. Congressman Brian Higgins will help us honor Buffalo's best ambassador in the heart of the city he loved so well and we will all recall and share in his enduring legacy and his passion for his hometown.

Maryalice Demler of WGRZ/Channel 2 On Your Side will serve as Brunch emcee and media hostess, and Quizmaster Dennis George will entertain one and all with his fun Buffalo Trivia Quiz. Quiz winners will receive gift certificates for area restaurants and arts and cultural organizations. The Sunday Brunch menu by Frontier Catering features unique Buffalo fare including pierogis, beef on weck and chiavetta-style chicken, of course, as well as ethnic specialties like polish sausage, greek salad and german potato salad.

I think Tim would approve - a Buffalo event through and through!
